Export a haiku

Select Share & Export in the top toolbar, then select the Export tab.

PDF

Downloads the haiku as a PDF. Each step appears on its own page with the screenshot and description. Good for printing or sharing in environments where interactive links aren't an option.

HTML

Downloads the haiku as an HTML file. Works with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other apps that can open HTML documents.

Markdown

Downloads the haiku as a Markdown file. Works with Notion, GitHub, and any tool that supports Markdown. Good for embedding documentation in a codebase or wiki.

Microsoft Word

Downloads the haiku as a .docx file. Opens directly in Word or Google Docs.

PowerPoint

Downloads the haiku as a slide deck. Each step becomes a slide. Good for walkthroughs that will be presented live.

SCORM

Downloads the haiku as a SCORM .zip file. Upload it to Workday Learning, Cornerstone, TalentLMS, and others.

Video

Downloads the haiku as an MP4. Haiku converts your steps into a ready-to-share video file.

Format

Choose Landscape at 16:9, or Vertical at 9:16 for phones.

Steps and cover

Show cover. Opens the video with a title card: the haiku's name, who made it, and how many steps it has.

Show step information. Puts each step's text alongside its screenshot.

Steps. Export All steps, or choose Custom and type the ones you want.

Audio & camera

Show camera. Includes the camera bubble from your recording, if you made one. Choose which corner it sits in.

Include audio recording. Uses the audio you recorded while capturing.

Voice-over narration. Haiku reads your step text aloud in a Male or Female voice. It only applies to steps that have no audio recording of their own.

Captions

Turn Show captions on to put the step text on screen. Choose a Size and which corner it sits in.

Timing

Step duration sets how many seconds each step stays on screen. The default is 3.

Animations

Show animated cursor. Draws a cursor moving to each click.

Zoom on clicks. Subtle, Strong, or Off.

Select Export video when the preview looks right.


AI agent

Downloads the haiku as a Markdown file, rewritten as instructions an AI agent can follow.

Not the steps as written: the file names the purpose of the task, the context the agent needs, and the details it should confirm with you before changing anything.

Select Export for AI agent to open the file, then Copy to put it on your clipboard or Download markdown to save it. Hand it to Claude, Cursor, or another AI tool.
